common sense immigration policy... shut the door now!

As the state of california is now bankrupt ... unemployment continuing to skyrocket ... more and more American citizens of all ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds out of work and in financial crisis ... it is time we Americans stand up and DEMAND that our elected leaders in washington stop the B.S and political grandstanding and GET REAL! We MUST significantly curb the number of LEGAL immigrants we are allowing entry into our nation. We MUST either use our military or beef up border patrols to stop illegal immigrants to cross into our nation. This is NOT in any way a racist idea... and not an "evil" republican notion...simply common sense. Wake up America!!! According to "immigrationnumbers.com" over 33%... OVER A THIRD... of immigrant households in America are on at least 1 government welfare program... more than DOUBLE the amount of households of native born Americans. Hello McFly!!!! Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures... and demanding our President issue an executive order immediately cutting significantly the number of work visas issued to foreigners makes perfect sense. With states like Indiana having to borrow from the federal governemnt just to cover their "deficit" in accounts used to help the unemployed... and the federal governemnt borrowing from nations like China to cover their deficits... it is quickly getting INSANE. In December alone nearly 550,000 jobs were lost. January numbers could be even worse. Can anybody justify letting any immigrants into our country with new work visas???? Yet ... there are the teenagers in california wanting to fly the Mexican flag at their school. We as Americans do have the power to stop this... but only if we get off our butts and flood our elected officials with our thoughts on this. Whereas for many years we were pampered and many Americans didn't want lower labor jobs ... those days are over. each time i see a physically capable person crying in their beer over how they have no money coming in... only to see illegal immigrants who speak no english bundled up in their coats, out in the cold, working tough jobs, I shake my head. What is so wrong to have Obama offer tax credits and incentives to small business to hire NATIVE BORN Americans? The sad truth is small businesses are fighting for survival right now and sadly it is easier and cheaper for many to hire illegals for the lower skilled jobs. If the left could get over their themselves, and the republicans start trying to relate to common folks... and get together to grant tax relief to small businesses whereas those companies could BENEFIT by hiring legal American citizens as opposed to illegals ... a lot of Americans could come off the public and government "tit". But... as long as our "prozac" nation is obsessed with "feeling good about ourselves" and form opinions based on what they see in the media... common sense will continue to be tossed out the window. Mr. President ... act now... to curb immigration into our country ... at least until we start righting our own ship ... there is not any more room in the American life boats!!!!

to quote Pink Floyd... "is there anybody out there?" As I watch the various news sources today discussing Obama appointees and and shake my head at how many of them are tax evasionsists, it made me wonder...why do we generally elect wealthy attorneys to the most important offices in government? Does the vast majority of the voting public really feel these folks have much in common with us? I mean, really, do most of us have coffee or a cold one with wealthy attorneys on a regular basis? At church or at a ball game... do we usually sit by a wealthy attorney? Not me. And this is not a shot at attorneys... as I know many and they for the most part are good people. But when it comes to voting and candidates we usually vote for people that really can't relate to our lives much at all. yet we expect them to help make our own individual lives better? What is wrong with this picture? From state representatives, to Governors, to congresspeople, to the President... thay all have big staffs that are paid with our hard earned tax dollars. These staff memebers should be the smart attorneys...not the chadidates themself. let's face it... usually, for most Americans, the only time we would talk to wealthy attorneys is if we are in trouble or if we had experienced something extraordinary. Have we gotten to the point that we are now prisoners of the 2 party system and have been beaten down to the point where a good common person isn't worthy to hold elected office? I mean take Joe the Plumber... now we know he isn't even a true plumber and his name isn't Joe... but the myth of Joe the Plumber struck a chord in America. And what happened to Joe the Plumber? The media and the left political machine could not wait to tear him down. and why? he owed some taxes? Is it logical that we swear in cabinet member to run the IRS who owed $34,000 in back taxes? Is it logical that our new president wanted to name Tom Daschle to run health care in America though he owed over $100,000 in taxes? But ... Joe the Plumber became public enemy #1 because he owed under $2,000 in taxes? If you are a wealthy attorney it is OK and easily forgivable to be a tax evasionist ... yet if you are Joe the Plumber you get crucified in the media? I , personally think we need some Plumbers in washington. What is a plumber's job? To make sure the crap goes away and to get the crap out of the way. Seems to me we have a lot of crap in state houses and Washington and perhaps some good plumbers should replace some wealthy attorneys in elected office and our country would smell a lot better!
